“I’m so honored and grateful to have won this tournament,” said Lauren Wong, 2023 Girls 15-18 champion. “It’s not about the result…it’s about being able to stay within myself and focus on the process.”

RJ Arone, a University of Michigan commit, is looking for a three-peat when the 2024 event rolls around.

“Two wins in a row with state and now this tournament,” he said. “I’ll try to go for the three-peat next year at state.”

Arone also won the 2023 5A State High School title.
