Nevada State Women’s Golf Association

The Northern Nevada Women’s Golf Association and the Women’s Southern Nevada Golf Association work together to operate the Nevada State Women’s Golf Association.

The NSWGA operates prestigious and historic tournaments annually including the State Stroke Play, Partners, Quad, Silver Cup and State Senior Championship.

Some of the top women and young women players in history have won state titles including LPGA Tour hall of famer and Northern Nevada native Patty Sheehan, UNLV women’s golf player Veronica Joels, LPGA Tour player Deborah Vidal and former UNLV women’s golf coach Missy Ringler.

The missions of the Nevada State Women’s Golf Association are:

  • FIRST: To promote interest in golf for the women of the state of Nevada.
  • SECOND: To conduct golf tournaments as approved by the Association.
  • THIRD: To promote and foster among members a closer bond and fraternity for their joint mutual benefit, and to promote and conserve the best interests and true spirit of the game of golf as embodied in its ancient and honorable traditions.
  • FOURTH: To encourage conformance to the United States Golf Association (USGA) Rules of Golf.
