Women’s Tournaments (NSWGA)

Nevada State Women’s Golf Association

About
Nevada State Women’s Golf Association tournaments feature the best players in Nevada, but also include net players who compete for the love of the game. Past champions include LPGA Tour Hall of Famer Patty Sheehan and 2018-20 UNLV standout Veronica Joels and a long list of other tremendous Northern Nevada and Southern Nevada women golfers.
In addition to the action on the course, an overriding part of the NSWGA is a strong sense of camaraderie by players from both the Southern and Northern parts of the Silver State. The spirit of the game is truly felt during the Nevada State Women’s Amateur, the Silver Cup, the Nevada State Senior Women’s Amateur and the other professionally-operated tournaments that include rules officials, scoring tables, social occasions and more.
The missions of the Nevada State Women’s Golf Association are:
  1. To promote interest in golf for the women of the state of Nevada.
  2. To conduct golf tournaments as approved by the Association.
  3. To promote and foster among members a closer bond and fraternity for their joint mutual benefit, and to promote and conserve the best interests and true spirit of the game of golf as embodied in its ancient and honorable traditions.
  4. To encourage conformance to the United States Golf Association (USGA) Rules of Golf.
