As always, the annual schedule for events on the 2021 Nevada State Golf Association schedule will feature some of the state’s top amateurs and state’s top courses. This includes events for women, men and juniors.
The Nevada State Junior Amateur Championship is June 28-29 at Genoa Lakes in Northern Nevada. The course one of the top layouts in Nevada and a frequent host of top tournaments and is a favorite for golf vacationers in that area.
The Nevada State Women’s Partners event is July 8-9 at Cascata, which was just named one of the top 200 Modern Courses by Golfweek. It is a Rees Jones (the US Open Doctor) design.
The Nevada State Amateur is July 16-18 at Red Hawk Golf Club — The Hills in Northern Nevada. The course was designed by 3-time U.S. Open champion Hale Irwin.
Coinciding with that event is the Nevada State Women’s Amateur, July 17-18, also at Red Hawk.
The Nevada State Match Play is July 27-30 at the Jack Nicklaus-designed SouthShore Golf Club at Lake Las Vegas.
The Nevada State Senior Amateur is Aug. 2-4 at Bear’s Best Las Vegas, which features 18 holes handpicked by Jack Nicklaus and his team from courses he previously designed in the West and Mexico.
The Nevada State Mid-Amateur is played at Genoa Lakes Aug. 13-15.
Playing at the same time as the mid-am is the Nevada State Net Amateur (Aug. 13-15), also at Genoa Lakes.
The Nevada State Women’s Quad is being played at Dayton Valley Aug. 24-26, another favorite stop for state, local and regional tournaments.
The Nevada State Women’s Senior Amateur is at Boulder Creek Oct. 29-30, a Mark Rathert design that hosts several collegiate events annually and qualifying for the PGA Tour’s Shriners Hospitals for Children Open.
