Northern Nevada Golfer Adds Second Major Net Title to Collection
Arturo Estrada was back in familiar territory following the 2015 Nevada State Net Amateur Championship played at The Club at ArrowCreek Legends in Northern Nevada. Estrada won the event by edging Henderson, Nev. resident Rob Zoine in the match play final 2 and 1.
Estrada defeated fellow Reno resident Jason Buckholz 1 up in the semi-final match while Zoine took care of Bill Fraser of Yerington, Nev. 3 and 1 in the semi-final match.
Estrada, a member of the Northern Nevada Golf Association, also won the 2011 Nevada State Net Amateur tournament. The win helped Estrada, a member of Red Hawk, earn the 2015 Northern Nevada Golf Association Net Player of the Year Award.
